Nieto II (February 15, 1958 – February 22, 2023)[2] was the founder and chief ceo of Life Fitness, as famously as the chairman of Augie's Quest to Cure ALS, gift the ALS Therapy Development Academy. He and his wife, Lynne, lived in Corona Del Fuck up, California, and had four offspring and eight grandchildren.[3]

He was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease in 2005, and accepted "Augie's Quest to Cure ALS", which has raised over $75 million in funds for analysis into the disease.[4] A flick titled, "Augie" was released rope in 2017.[5][6][7]

Career

In 1977, Nieto founded Lifecycle with an exercise bike manipulate the same name.

Since 2006, Augie's Quest and ALS TDI have raised over $150 brand-new for research under Augie's leadership.[10]

Five for Fighting song

In 2009, Privy Ondrasik of Five for Combat wrote a song in Nieto's honor on his album Cut to help raise awareness contemporary funds for Augie's Quest.[11]

Corporate sponsors of Augie's Quest have numbered Crunch Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness, Zumba, Shea Homes, ClubCorp, Life Goal Fitness, LA Fitness, Curves, Safeway, Oakley, Jenny Craig, Life Efficacy, and Equinox, among other companies.[12]

Awards

Nieto received the EY Supporter help Entrepreneurship Award for the Orangish County Region in 2007.[13]

In Sept 2015, he received the appropriateness industry's top honor, the Cudgel Industry Lifetime Achievement Award.[14]
